2023-2024 SABRE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION GIRLS HOCKEY

The Sabre Girls Hockey Program, lead by our new Girls Hockey Director, Jordan Diamond and a new staff of knowledgeable and experienced coaches, has a lot of excitement going into the 2023-2024 Season.  The Sabres will be fielding teams at the 10U, 12U, 14U, and a combined 16U/19U team that will compete in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL), with our 14U and 16U/19U teams eligible for National competition. We will also seek to enter all our teams into prestigious tournaments to provide our players the highest level of competition and exposure. Our 16U/19U team will continue hosting the annual High-Performance College Showcase that draws teams and college scouts from all over the country to this event.

**Additional team slush funds will be required for Tournament Fees and Travel Budgets.

A Non-Refundable $300 Tryout Fee will be due at the time of registration (included in pricing above). This fee will increase $100 after August 13, 2023.

Following tryouts, registrants will receive an email to confirm their players roster spot and complete registration based on the program their player was placed in. The program cost can be paid in full or a payment plan of 4 or 6 months can be set up at that time. Payments will be automatically deducted on 9/28, 10/28, 11/28, 12/28, 1/28 & 2/28.

Game times and locations will vary by week with most games being played on weekends, with the possibility of a weeknight based on necessity. Scheduling can fluctuate due to variables such as holidays, team photos and loss of club ice due to functions like tournaments and showcases. The grid below represents team schedules during any regular week.

SABRE TRAVEL TRYOUT SCHEDULE & INFORMATION

Tryout/evaluation groups will be assigned and sent via email based on previous hockey experience. Email notifications will be sent 5 days in advance of the first scheduled session for tryouts/evaluations. Group assignments will not be changed after the group assignment emails have been sent out; NO EXCEPTIONS. Coaches may make changes to tryout groups based on performance during the process

GENERAL INFORMATION

ROSTERING: Sabre players cannot be rostered on more than one youth hockey team, with the exception of girls playing on a youth (co-ed) team and a Sabre player who plays on a high school team.
